EAST DURHAM COLLEGE

Since relocating into a new £36 million development, East Durham College provides an environment for students, staff and the general public to learn as well as train. They offer multi-sport facilities that people can use all year round and their newly updated gym is no different.

Yakka Strength supplied Impact Health and Fitness with several Pitman Bars in both colourways and 150kg of Black Bumper Plates. Before the installation, the gym was missing an area where its members could do Olympic Lifts like the Snatch and freely drop the bar from an overhead position. With a new platform built and a set of Bumpers delivered this adds another dimension to people's training.

As well as helping its members, East Durham College boasts a successful academy of sporting talent. EDC has teams in rugby, football, boxing and basketball to name a few. These athletes will have access to the equipment so their Strength and Conditioning coaches can take their workouts to the next level.
